Beekeeping Introductory Course

Pre Registration

The cost of the course is only £80, payable in advance.  This includes 1 years' membership of the BBKA.

The course would broadly cover the following:
 

1. Introduction - The Bee Colony - Bee Lifecycle

2. Hive - Hive Types - Equipment

3. Beekeeping Year

4. Queens - Swarms

5. Bees - Plants - Harvest

6. Pests & Diseases

There will be a blend of classroom and practical experience at the apiary during the course, with the aim of converting the classroom knowledge into hands on management of a colony.
