1.   WHAT IS GDPR?

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of new data protection rules that came into force on 25 May 2018. They require that organisations like SBKA can only use your personal data to contact you if you've given them permission to do so.

2.   WHY IS SBKA ASKING FOR MEMBER’S CONSENT NOW? DIDN'T YOU NEED IT IN THE PAST TO BE COMPLIANT WITH EXISTING REGULATIONS?

You will need to give your consent before we can contact you, or, if you opted in in the past.

You must give informed consent, meaning that we've explained how we use your data

3.  HOW WILL YOU USE MY DETAILS

In this digital age, many people are concerned about how their personal data is used. SBKA will only use your data to make sure we keep in touch and keep you informed about events relating to the association.  Information will not be shared with any third parties.
